Turning to local businesses might seem like a great idea on the surface, but dig deeper and you will find that using local businesses may actually cause you to do more work and make less money. 4. In person meetings and presentations are going  to become typical  , so be prepared to spend a good majority of your time away from the home or your office depending on where you work. For those who became online marketers to work from home, this is going to go against every reason why you became an Internet marketer to begin with.
5. Last, the money that you are going to bring in is going to fail in comparison to the money you would be making marketing non local businesses online. Your overhead is going to be higher; you are going to work more hours and the life you wish to achieve may not turn out to be as comfortable as you hoped. 

Does this mean that you shouldn’t market local businesses online? Every person has their own way of doing things and there are going to be those who prefer this latest online marketing niche, but there is a lot of risk associated with it.
